GMC 2020 Sierra 1500 – A Blend of Power and Luxury!



The GMC 2020 Sierra 1500 comes with a few exclusive features, such as a carbon-fiber cargo bed. A comprehensive range of engine choices includes a turbo-diesel inline-six, a pair of V-8s and turbocharged four-cylinder.

What's New for GMC 2020 Sierra 1500?


The turbo-diesel engine and carbon-fiber bed, both of which were introduced for the 2019 model year, are now more broadly available for the GMC 2020 Sierra 1500.

Similar is the 10-speed automatic transmission, which was previously presented only with the top 6.2-liter V-8 engine.

It can now also come with V-8, 5.3 liter also. Newly equipped features include trailer tow mirrors, adaptive cruise control, and a trailer-tow camera mechanism from the new heavy-duty variant of the Sierra motor. The Elevation model now comes with the crew-cab configuration.

Transmission, Performance and Engine

The Sierra is equipped with three different transmissions, five various engines, and a rear or all-wheel drive element. The base assembly is a V-6 paired 285-hp with a six-speed automatic mechanism.

The 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 combines with a six or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 6.2-liter V-8, 420-hp and torque-rich diesel six-cylinder making 460 lb-ft individually operate via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The GMC Sierra 1500 also can be equipped with adaptive dampers and other content that separate this truck from its Chevrolet sibling.

In Sierra's corner is the robust AT4 trim, which comes with a 2.0-inch suspension elevation and other legitimate equipment.

Payload Capacity and Towing

The half-ton GMC pickup can haul up to 12,200 pounds and support a payload of up to 2240 pounds when properly equipped.

Real-World MPG and Fuel-Economy

The 2020 Sierra 1500 has various different powertrain combinations, which states that its fuel-economy ratings will show variations. Those most concerned with fuel efficiency should opt for the optional diesel engine, as according to the EPA, which is rated up to 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. 

Comfort, Cargo, and Interior

The Sierra cabin prioritizes practicality, spaciousness, and functionality.

Although the latter is most common on models presented with the crew cab, every variant has an upright center stack with user-friendly controls and relevant buttons. 

The top-of-the-line Denali model costs the most and sells the most. Desirable content comes with an available head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and more.

Interior cubby storage is more than adequate for storing all manner of small items and stuff.

While GMC doesn't offer any particularly innovative storage features, the Sierra 1500 can be had with a trick tailgate with multiple configurations. 

There's also a class-exclusive carbon-fiber-reinforced cargo bed that is lighter and supposedly stronger than steel.

Connectivity and Infotainment

A touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability is standard. Likewise, every model offers a mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi on the go. Other available infotainment features include a Bose audio system, built-in navigation, wireless charging for phones, and additional power points.

Driver-Assistance Features and Safety

The Sierra 1500 obtained average crash-test scores from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration -NHTSA and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety -IIHS. However, the GMC pickup truck has a plethora of driver-assistance technology.
